Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  – Process and verify invoices, ensuring timely payment to vendors.

  – Manage customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.

  – Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.

– General Ledger and Reconciliation:

  – Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.

  – Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

  – Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting schedules.

– Financial Reporting:

  – Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  – Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  – Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

– Expense Management:

  – Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.

  – Monitor and analyze expense trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.

– Payroll Processing:

  – Assist in payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.

  – Maintain payroll records and address payroll-related inquiries.

– Compliance and Documentation:

  – Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

  – Maintain organized and detailed accounting records and documentation.

– Collaboration and Support:

  – Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.

  – Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.

  – Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills.
  • Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
  • Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
