Budget and Planning Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the financial planning and analysis activities within an organization. Your role will involve working closely with various departments, senior management, and executives to provide valuable financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and drive the company’s overall financial performance.

Job Description :

1. Financial Planning:
– Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to establish financial targets and operational plans.
– Coordinate the creation of detailed financial forecasts and projections to assist in long-term planning and goal setting.
– Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual performance, identifying key drivers of variances and proposing corrective actions as needed.

2. Financial Analysis:
– Prepare and present regular financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, to senior management and executives.
– Conduct in-depth financial analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and risk assessments.
– Perform sensitivity and what-if analysis to assess the impact of various business decisions on financial outcomes.

3. Decision Support:
– Collaborate with business units to evaluate the financial feasibility of new projects, product launches, and business expansion opportunities.
– Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and cost management.
– Support pricing strategies and profitability analysis for various products and services.

4. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
– Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.|
– Comply with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, ensuring proper financial controls and adherence to corporate policies.

5. Team Management:
– Lead a team of financial analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
– Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting cross-functional teamwork and knowledge-sharing.

6. Systems and Tools:
– Evaluate and implement financial planning software and business intelligence tools to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
– Stay up to date with technological advancements and industry best practices in financial analysis and reporting.

7. Strategic Planning and Forecasting:
– Contribute to the development of the company’s long-term strategic plan by providing financial insights and identifying potential growth opportunities.
– Assist in creating financial forecasts and scenario planning to align financial goals with the overall corporate strategy.

Qualifications:

  • bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required.
  • 4 or 8 years in managerial role
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: FP&A manager must possess excellent analytical skills to evaluate financial information and identify areas of concern or improvement.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: As Budget and Planning manager, effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are vital to interact with various stakeholders and lead audit teams.
